The Labor Market and Education Administration has a collective responsibility for integration, labor market, education, and employment issues concerning our municipality's residents. The administration is also responsible for the Culture School and food supply, as well as fulfilling tasks for the medical and psychological aspects of student health in municipal preschool classes, primary schools, adapted primary schools, high schools, and adapted high schools.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

You will work as a mother tongue teacher in primary school. Your workplace will be various school units and different school forms where children and students are present. Your teaching will take place in the form of in-person instruction. Alternatively, remote teaching may be an option.

Upon employment, you will receive an introduction regarding your job responsibilities. You will receive ongoing support in your professional role through various support functions at the workplace. Travel between schools may occur.

It is an advantage if you can teach in both of these languages.

QUALIFICATIONS

We prefer that you are a licensed teacher with a Swedish teaching degree or that you have a documented foreign teaching education. If you lack teaching education but can demonstrate that you have another suitable university degree, it may suffice. You have very good knowledge of Swedish equivalent to Swedish 3/Swedish as a second language 3 or Swedish B/Swedish as a second language B.

It is advantageous if you have work experience from the Swedish school and are familiar with the Education Act and curricula for the various school forms. Therefore, we expect you to share this value base and can realize it in word and action. You can adapt and vary your teaching. You are a good leader in the classroom and can create trusting relationships with students, colleagues, and management.

It is also advantageous if you have digital skills and abilities so that you can conduct mother tongue instruction via remote.

Great emphasis is placed on personal suitability. You are flexible, easy to collaborate with, and independent. You are positive towards new ideas and working methods and want to continuously develop your teaching with learning in focus.

The work as a mother tongue teacher/study guide will give you rich opportunities to meet newly arrived and multilingual children and young people, and your contribution makes a difference.

The employment is temporary during the school year 25/26.

We apply a vacation service of 40h/week with flexible hours.

Please attach your teaching license or diploma. A criminal record extract must be presented before employment in preschool and primary school.
